Boating Coastal Action Plan

The Central Coastal Board has prepared a Coastal Action Plan (CAP) for recreational boating in the Central Coastal Region, in accordance with section 22 of the Coastal Management Act 1995.

The purpose of the Boating CAP is to provide a regional policy basis for the planning and management of recreational boating facilities in Port Phillip and Western Port. It sets a vision for 2030, and provides short and medium term guidance for public and private investment to support boating, whilst recognising other important coastal uses and the need to protect the coast for future generations.

The Boating CAP was developed through extensive consultation with industry, community and Local and State Government.
